Grass Fed Beef and The Best Tasting Protein Powder Ever

Check out this excellent piece from the website www.mercola.com . The more I read the more scared I get. Our collective ignorance about nutrition is scary. Until last year I was totally unaware of the benefits of grassfed beef. Now I buy my meat on-line. Grass fed beef has the same fatty acid profile as wild salmon. Do you think that the large companies that control our food supply want us to know that? Until last year I thought corn was a vegetable. Now I realize it is a grain and the number one source of calories in the American diet.

If you use whey protein try Mercola Miracle Whey. I was amazed that something so good for you could also taste so good. And, it’s from grass fed cows. I have never had a whey protein that I even thought tasted Ok, much lesss tasted good. You can check. There are no affiliate links. I just want to turn you on to great ideas and great products.

Please, tell all your friends. Reblog, retweet, etc.

  2. Ha! I remember using a product by Atletika, I think it was called Aminofit, that literally tasted like vomit.

  3. Be sure to see the movie Food, Inc. It will blow your mind. Or read Omnivore Dilemma

I love the flavored version. Most of the “good for you” products taste awful.

  5. My two preferred options for whey protein from grass fed cattle are are cold filtered to retain nutrients lost through other processes:
Progressive Harmonized Whey Protein (New Zealand cattle source, Canadian manufacturer), and Defense Nutrition

Both offer unflavoured versions, which I prefer. I like to add my own sweetener and flavouring, if any. Mercola’s doesn’t yet come unflavoured and unsweetened, though I’ve asked them.

Mike, I have read “The End of Overeating” ~ like you, I found the beginning fascinating, then I started to skim the book as I felt like he just kept beating his point into the ground. I believe people are responsible for taking control of their nutritional habits, but it is scarey to see what the food companies and restaurants do to sabotage good health.

  7. Weston Price site is a great resource. Both Mary Enig and Sally Fallon are true pioneers in the battle to take back our health.

For all the men, go to Mercola’s site and pick up the basic cosmetic package( cleanser and moisturizers ) for your significant other. My wife loves it and so do I! It’s one more step we’ve taken in reducing the toxic load on our bodies.

  8. I second that Pollen’s books are eye opening.
His somewhat heavy lean towards plant based diet is not for me, but the information as a whole is pretty damn enlightening.

Next to almost totally eliminating grains (wheat 100%), this rather long, but very informative article about fats/oils has literally changed my health and saved my life.
    Have a look.
