This Week On StrengthCoach.com
Sorry for the late email. This is actually a review instead of an announcement. First up this week was My Revolutionary Thought by Brandon LaRue. Brandon is another MBSC Mentorship alum. I love that all the folks who attend follow my advice and begin to write for the site. I love the real-world, from-the-heart stuff. I think it really helps the site. Next was Take the Tour and Learn from Bruce Kelly. Bruce is another guy that has become a great contributor with lots of real-world perspective. I’m happy to say that a second generation Kelly, Bruce’s daughter Kerry will be an MBSC intern this summer. Last up is Golf, Balance and the Opposite Direction Swing from Mike Romatowski. Anthony Renna was kind enough to forward this to me.
Video of the Week
Video of the Week is a Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat Jump. Along the same lines as the Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat, we concluded that single leg power is both a priority and, difficult to generate through a large range of motion. As a result we began to experiment with RFESS Jumps as depicted in the video. Notice here we are using Kaz’s “bottom up” idea and working from the bottom with a reset.
As always don’t forget to check out the StrengthCoach Podcast at www.strengthcoachpodcast.com. Also, make sure you check www.strengthcoachblog.com. We also just filmed a new webinar, Designing Strength Training Programs, for www.strengthandconditioningwebinars.com This webinar clarifies some of the differences in programs depending on the number of days (2, 3 and 4) and clientele (athletes or general population).
Also Anthony just added Dr. Ken Cieslak on “Soft Tissue Therapies”. Dr. Cieslak will be looking at the different modalities of soft tissue therapy from a presentation he first did for the NSCA.
Remember, CEUs are now available for 4 webinars. You can get to the quizzes on the Member Home Page under Resources.
Just a reminder, as always the articles and videos go up over the course of the week. Generally one each day. Only one article mentioned on this email will go up on the day you receive this email. Please let us know via the forum if there are things you want to see.
Also, your credit card statement will show a charge from RyanLee.com, not StrengthCoach.com. Hope you enjoy the week.
