The Past Week on

Posted in Injuries, Low Back Pain, Random Thoughts, Updates, Uncategorized on May 2, 2010 by mboyle1959

First up this week was an article from the now famous Articles to be Finished file. Poor Shoulder Mobility Leads to Low Back Pain is one of those articles that is between an AH-Ha moment and a Duh moment. Anthony Renna’s response was “you didn’t get that?” Read and see what you think. There are already a lot of forum posts on this one.

Next up are some charts that I know help me at BU Bar Loading and Kettlebell  Conversion Charts make it easy for the athletes to convert from metric to English. The bar loading chart originally came from Glenn Harris at BU.

Last up is an unusual article from site member and MBSC mentorship alum James Wilson. More Than Roadies on Dirt: How to Train Mountain Bikers for Ride Changing Results. I mean unusual in the sense that mountain bikers are not a group that we talk about a ton on the site.

I think you will enjoy all three.

Video of the Week

Looks like I may have dropped the ball on video of the week this week but Anthony Renna saved the day and posted a Q+A with Gray Cook.

As always don’t forget to check out the StrengthCoach Podcast. and Strength and Conditioning Webinars This weeks’ podcast features Joe Sansalone discussing his excellent posts on the topic of shoulder packing.
