The Past Week on

Posted in Uncategorized on May 10, 2010 by mboyle1959

This weeks recap comes from the Marriot Hotel in Heidelberg Germany. I’ve completed my first talk at the International Ice Hockey Federation Conference and travel to Cologne for two more on Thursday and Friday.

First up this past week was an article from site member Rick Karboviak. Rick was an original contributor on the old site and has come back to us as a member. Training the Rural Athlete: Where Simplicity Overrides Specialization is one of the articles I can only describe as “real world”. I think only on a site like this will you get this type of info.

Next up was a announcement about Anthony Donskov’s new facility. I love to highlight our site members and their accomplishments. is really at the forefront of what is now recognized as the micro-gym movement.

Last up is a piece from Maria Mountain, another great site contributor showing a TRX workout one of her athletes used in preparation for the Vancouver Olympic games. Figure Skating Pre-Competition TRX Workoutgives real world stratagies for the coach who has to send athletes off to competitions away from the facility.

I think you will enjoy all three.

Video of the Week

We made up for video if the week by posting two. Anthony Renna posted a video from Gray called Ankle Mobility in the Deep Squat

We also posted a video from Frank Adelia on Teaching the Turksih Getup.

As always don’t forget to check out the StrengthCoach Podcast. This week Anthony has a great Episode on Shoulder Prehab with Joe Sansalone. I’ve already listened and it was excellent. Also, make sure to check out  Strength and Conditioning Webinars
