The Past Week on StrengthCoach.com
This is a slightly longer email than usual. My family and I just returned from a week in Germany. I had the opportunity to speak at the International Ice Hockey Federation Conferences in Germany, see some games at the IIHF World Championships and, spend some quality time with my family. As always though Adrienne was able to keep the site up and running.
First up this week was an article provided to us by Lee Burton and Gray Cook. The lead researcher was Kyle Keisel and the study, Functional Movement Test Scores Improve Following a Standardized Off Season Intervention Program in Professional Football Players, appeared in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports in 2009. This is a great piece as it provides research backing for the Functional Movement Screen that is so much a part of this site.
Next up is Through a Fresh Set of Eyes from site member and MBSC intern Dave Rak. Dave gives us yet another viewpoint, the student becoming a coach. Dave has been an excellent addition to our staff and has a bright future.
Our third article comes from another great young site member, Vince Gabrielle, and is titled Be More . Vince formerly worked with Todd Durkin in CA. and now has his own facility Gabrielle Fitness and Performance in New Jersey. Be More is another excellent look at the real impact we have on our athletes.
If you haven’t been on the site this week, make sure you log on and check out another excellent week of articles.
Video of the Week
Video of the Week is another Kevin Larabee look Inside the MBSC Staff Meeting- Glute Ham Raises. This is a tough exercise to do and a tough exercise to teach and at least in my opinion, many folks teach it and perform it wrong.
We’ve really upped our staff education this year to continue to take a great product and great coaches to even higher levels. Thanks to Kevin you guys get to share in this.
Please let us know via the forum if there are things you want to see as you can see with articles like Top Coaching Influences we are listening.
Also, your credit card statement will show a charge from RylanLee.com, not StrengthCoach.com. Hope you enjoy the week.
