The Past Week on

This is our longest update ever. Please do me a favor and read the whole thging.

Our first article last week was an excellent look at the squat from Jon Mesnner titled It’s the Little Things- Squat Update

I love this next article from Ray Eady of University of Wisconsin. In fact, I wish I had written it. I think you will see lots of strength coaches who work with female athletes reprinting this article and giving it to their head coach. The title is simple and to the point Female Basketball Players Need to Get Strong.

Last up is my eagerly awaited Handicapping the Perform Better Summit This is both fun to write and tough to write but I hope you are as excited as I am.

If you haven’t been on the site this week, make sure you log on and check out another excellent week of articles.

You can use the letter below or write your own:

Dear NSCA Board,

As a dues paying member of the NSCA, I would like to express my disappointment in the NSCA’s recent decision to no longer approve courses by Michael Boyle for continuing education credits.  Boyle’s education and experience certainly make him qualified to provide quality information that is valuable to all NSCA members.  The decision to discontinue the NSCA CEU’s for any of Boyle’s previously approved talks appears to be a punitive measure not related to educational content and appears to contradict the NSCA’s mission statement “to disseminate research based knowledge and it’s practical applications”.

I am asking that you reconsider your decision and reinstate Michael Boyle’s courses for continuing education credits.

Thank You.

Also, make sure to check out Strength and Conditioning Webinars We are doing a webinar tomorrow on Training Hockey Players.
